From the Heart award
Want to get involved in the AjPHA Presidential Service
Project? Want to get recognized for your outstanding participation
in the project? The From the
Heart award allows you to show how involved your AjPHA
Regional Club has been in the current Presidential Service
Project. For information on this year's project refer to
the President's Letter. And, don't forget to download the

Youth Member of the
Year
- This award recognizes a well-rounded individual who
exemplifies community involvement, volunteer work, scholarship
and leadership. This award is open to all AjPHA members.

Club of the Year
- This program recognizes AjPHA regional clubs that offer
well-rounded programs. Each club creates a yearbook illustrating
their activities and how they reached their goals.
Team Tournament
- The AjPHA invites all regional clubs to send a team
of up to 20 members to the Youth Team Tournament, held
during the World Championship Paint Horse Show. Teams
compete against one another in a Parade of Teams, Knowledge Relay, Hippology Contest and five events:
Showmanship, Equitation, Horsemanship, Barrel Racing, and Walk-Trot. Awards
are given to the top three teams.
Judging
Contest
- Whether you own a horse or not, the annual Judging Contest
is an opportunity for you to compete for individual or team
awards by analyzing halter and performance classes, placing
horses and justifying your decisions. (Learn more about

AjPHA Short Story Contest
- Are you a rider who is also a writer? Then you could enter
the AjPHA Short Story Contest. Just write a fiction or non-fiction
story (no poetry, please) that includes Paint Horses and
enter the contest. Winning stories are published in the
Paint Horse Journal and Generation J. View the 2007

AjPHA Photo Contest
- Are you a Paint Horse paparazzo? Do you hide behind bushes,
sneak around corners and spend hours waiting
to get that perfect shot of our favorite
celebrity—the Paint Horse?
If you’ve taken rolls of film or filled your digital
camera’s memory card with pictures of
Paint Horses, then we have the contest for you!

The Great Paint Brush Off
Art Contest
- Show off your talent by submitting personal artwork featuring
