Youth World Games Team Germany
Andrea
Vahldick/Hunter under Saddle
Before I learned to run I was learning to ride. My first horse, a Paint gelding
named FANNO I got when I was eleven years old. At that point no one thought that
I would start riding in competitions. Since then I have received several
national awards in the German western riding club (EWU), Top Ten placement on
the European Championships 2006, 2008 and 2009 and a ROM in Youth Trail. One of
my biggest e successes is the qualifying for the Youth World Games in the
European Championships in 2009. At the moment I am Graduating at the Hermann
Nohl School in Hildesheim and I am working on qualifying for the German Western
Riding Championships.
Jenny Dolpp/Showmanship
My name is Jenny Dolpp, I am 19 years old and besides to my hobby horses I am
graduating from high school at the moment. I have been riding since I was eight
years old, mostly for leisure and later I got riding lessons (English) too. In
2005 I started western riding and began riding my first tournaments. I have
collected many trophies, including a European champion. In 2007 my parents gave
me my own little Paint filly. I showed my little one at hand and we collected
our first points and ribbons. Now we are riding together very successfully and
earned the Reserve European champion title in Youth Hunter under Saddle.
Together we also got an ROM in Halter and Hunter. I hope that together we still
can win some tournaments together.
Jennifer Abröll/Trail
My name is Jennifer Abröll and I am from Memmingen, Germany. At the age of eight
I wanted to start riding and found a small ranch close to us where I started
western riding just as a hobby. When I was 12 years old I changed to a
professional stable and went to my first tournaments. There, my ambition and my
passion for the discipline Trail were aroused. The tournament was a lot of fun
riding and I started showing, a Quarter Horse gelding. There were several wins
and placings in various riding associations. In November 2006 I finally got my
own horse! But as my Paint Horse gelding was only six month old, I continued to
ride several different horses in shows as I was not able to ride him yet. My
biggest success was the All-around Champion Youth SPB on the EPHC 2009 and my
nomination for the discipline trail in the youth team of the PHCG for the World
Show 2010. I am looking forward to this year´s AjPHA World show and I feel very
excited to be allowed to participate.
KIM BLOCKUS/Replacement rider
My name is Kim Blockus and I am born on the 22th of April 1991 in Hamburg. Since
I am 9 years old I own my Paint Horse gelding BENTLEY DELLORIAN ACE with whom I
had my first successes (among other things, German Champion, ROM in several
classes and superior in Open Senior Trail). After I bought Bentley, I have bred
a Paint mare out of one of my mother mares, who is one of my current show horses
now. Her name is "MAYBE MATILDA". Mathilda is 5 years old now and currently has
a foal at her side, with her I won the 2006 European Champion in the Yearling in
Hand class, a German Champion in Yearling in Hand Trail and Yearling Longe Line.
In 2008, I was in the Top 10 at the European Championship and German Champion in
the Open Junior Trail. In addition to Mathilda, I have a 4 year olds sister of
Mathilda which is now being trained for the German Championship of the PHCG.
Currently, I'm going to school and will begin my vocational training in August.
VERENA HAGEN/Horsemanship
Born in 1991, Verena has ridden since she is 5 years old; from the age of 10
Years she showed her moms and aunts Quarter Horses. Since she was 12 years old
she got her paint horse mare TINYS LITTLE DEER and was very successful at German
and European Paint Horse Championships. She´s has a lot of points and reached
the APHA Youth Versatility Award. In 2008 and 2009 she rode her two self trained
Paint Horses HESA CLASSIC BLUE and SQ SHEGOTTHESTYLE and reached only in 2009 5
Gold, 1 silver and 1 Bronze Medal at the European Paint Horse Championships. In
2008 she was member of the PHCG Youth National Team and earned proudly the 1st
place in Horsemanship at the Youth World Games.
