Enhance your leadership skills at this year's Youth Leadership
Conference. The conference will be held October 5-6 in Louisville,
Kentucky.
2007 Leadership Conference Review
A guest speaker will be on hand to lead the fast-paced and up-beat
conference, and various hands-on activities will be used to help "j"
members realize their strengths and weaknesses, so they can achieve
their full potential as leaders.
About the conference
The 2007 Youth Leadership Conference will offer those attending a chance
to improve their leadership skills, as well as share their ideas about
AjPHA with other members during a general membership meeting on Friday
evening, October 5.
Each AjPHA member is encouraged to be a part of this event, which will
also give attendees the opportunity to get to know the new Youth
Executive Committee.
Attendees will also have time to hang out with fellow "j" members, and
make friends from all over the country. Plus, everyone will have a lot
of fun when the entire group will enjoy a day of fun activities in
Louisville and its surrounding areas.
Registration
Attendees will stay at the Brown Hotel, in Louisville, Kentucky. The
cost for AjPHA members to attend is $75 ($90 non-members, includes
membership), which includes all meals, transportation in Louisville and
activities outside the hotel. It does not include transportation to the
conference or hotel accommodations.
To register, simply fill out the registration form and mail it to AjPHA
at the address listed. Forms must be received by September 3.

Accommodations
It is best to reserve a room for participants and chaperones through
AjPHA. Rooms will be shared by three to four attendees and cost $50 per
night. All Youth are encouraged to travel with an adult. However, if a
Youth is traveling from out of state and will not be accompanied by an
adult, a hotel room must be reserved through AjPHA.
Travel arrangements
Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements
and should plan to arrive no later than 11 a.m. on Friday, October 5,
and depart the morning of Sunday, October 7. If flying, participants
should arrive at the Louisville International Airport. Be prepared to
pay for taxi or shuttle service to and from the airport.
Chaperones
If you like to have a great time and want to help AjPHA members become
better leaders, consider being a chaperone! If you are interested and
over the age of 21, please fill out this conference registration form,
mark that you would like to be a chaperone, and mail the form back to
AjPHA at the address listed. Chaperones will not have to pay for their
room and will enjoy reduced rates for the conference.
