What do you do with your horse?
I train with Cathy and Charlie Sasser and show in halter and color classes.
Although I own Star, my mom shows her in amateur halter and our trainers show
her in open halter.
What are your favorite events/activities with your horse?
My favorite event is youth halter, and my favorite activity is sleeping in my
reclining chair in between classes!
What do you like most about paint horses?
I like their color. I especially like the sabino pattern because it looks like
you just threw powdered sugar on them!
What do you like most about AjPHA?
I like being able to meet new people all the time, and that AjPHA members cheer
each other on in all their classes.
What has owning a horse taught you?
It has taught me how to take responsibility for something else and that it’s not
just all about me. I have also learned to be confident in what I can do.
What would you say to someone who might be interested in owning a paint
horse?
I would tell them that they are great animals, but you need to be mature enough
to take responsibility for them.
What would you say to someone that is thinking about starting to compete
in APHA shows?
I would tell them that it is so much fun and it is a great place to be because
there are so many supportive people.
