What do you do with your horse?
Everything I can, we show open, 4-H and at breed shows. We also trail ride and
we just started jumping. She truly is an all round horse. We just rode our first
reigning class we won 2nd!
What are your favorite events/activities with your horse?
Trail and showmanship I also like western pleasure but we do much better at
Trail.
What do you like most about paint horses?
I love everything, from their quiet loving nature, to their give it all they
have heart. Beauty just rounds out the package.
What do you like most about AjPHA?
I like the photo contests of the past, I take lots of pictures of my horses, I
also enjoy the website, lots to do on it.
What has owning a horse taught you?
That no morning comes to early when you are a hungry horse. Seriously it is a
great responsibility owning a horse. Their needs have to come before you own, my
Mom taught me that right from age 4 when I got my first horse.
What would you say to someone who might be interested in owning a paint
horse?
That they made the right decision. I would also tell them all the benefits of
owning a Paint horse and gladly show off all of mine, and all that they can do.
What would you say to someone that is thinking about starting to compete
in APHA shows?
I would tell them they are in for a good time, hard work but lots of fun. That
is just what our Saskatchewan Paint Horse Club shows are like, lots of fun! It
is like a family reunion at our shows, people working and showing together, I
could not see me showing any other breed.
