World
What are your favorite events/activities with your horse?
HUS and just riding for fun at home
What do you like most about paint horses?
I love the paint horses’ attitudes and their disposition. Every paint horse is
unique and there are no two alike.
What do you like most about AjPHA?
I love the atmosphere. We are all friends outside the show pen and inside we are
all friendly competition. AjPHA has done and will do some amazing things for our
community. It makes me smile to think about how many good, hard-working kids are
involved in AjPHA and how much we all love the paint horse breed.
What has owning a horse taught you?
My horses have taught me patience most importantly. They have also taught me
that if you set your mind to something and truly want it you can achieve
whatever you and your horse work hard at.
What would you say to someone who might be interested in owning a paint
horse?
Paint horses are very unique and our association is unlike any other. People are
caring and compassionate at the horse shows and everyone is willing to lend a
helping hand, all you have to do is ask.
What would you say to someone that is thinking about starting to compete
in APHA shows?
You never know what you can do until you try. Come to a show; see what it is all
about. You may fall in love or you may decide it is not for you. I can promise
that if you come with an open mind and if you are willing to stop people and
just talk to them, you WILL fall in love. People at the shows are friendly and
when not in the arena we are all friends and I do not know anyone that wouldn’t
lend a hand to someone in need.
