AjPHA President, Brandyl Brooks, challenges Paint
Horse enthusiasts to support our Wounded Warriors!
This year's Presidential Service Project is entitled "Painted
Warriors" and will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
Here's what Brandyl has to say about this year's project:
"I came upon this project when a close family friend was wounded in Iraq, became
severely injured, was sent to the hospital, and then finally came home. His
wife, family, and friends were all very thankful just that he survived. When I
was there, he began to talk about the Wounded Warrior Project and how they
provided him with a backpack and how they raise money not only for the things in
the bag, but for wounded soldiers who need therapy or other special needs. I
knew right then that this Wounded Warrior Project was going to be the
beneficiary of my presidential project. I encourage the AjPHA to participate in
raising money. It's for our soldiers, our loved ones, fighting for our country
and I think its time that the younger generations of our time step up and take
part in today's world."
